Maybe @Tekkz has a recommendation?
Got mine from Buckeye Engraving. Pricey but I really like it. ~$150 USD

Just for clarification....are you looking for a hot stamp, or stencils for electro-etching?
My bad, should have clarified; hot stamp.

I was looking at Buckeye, thank you for giving me an idea of price. I was also looking at a few others, but buckeye does look the most professional (at least, the website does). Does anyone know if this about the going rate for a custom hot stamp?

So far so good.
I figure that for the price (and how little I do hot work at the moment) I couldn't lose.
I just need something for my first few knives, symbol might change anyway.
I appreciate the heads up about the challenge with striking, I will look into rigging up a holder as well.

The holder is aluminum. It's easy to preheat if necessary, and it's certainly not the size of two quench plates. As well, the work doesn't have to be in contact for more than a couple of seconds.
I suppose mileage may vary if your working conditions are very cold, but this too can be worked around with a quick preheat.
While I'm thinking about it, how many blades have marks struck on a huge, cold anvil?

One question here (for real curiosity, not my intention to blame anyone) , is your logo registered somewhere, like a list of makers ?
To be honest i've never understood why some makers make a logo without any name written on it. As a maker myself i thought it would be so much easier for potentiel buyers to find you back if they have a name to search, than just a logo. But maybe you have a different approach/idea ?

That's a fairly common opinion actually. Lots of people think your touch mark should make it easy to identify and find the maker. Some folks don't care or already have an established base so it doesn't matter. I went with just a logo and no name because I don't care if someone can't find my work just by looking at it. They can ask the owner where they got it.

I am a beginner and have no following, so I see your point. But like @Tekkz said; that's not something that concerns me too much. I would much rather deal with that minor setback than to have my name on a knife. It might just be me, but I am not a fan of using my name as my maker's mark; feels a tad self-onanistic to me. If my work is good; it should speak for itself right, and then my mark should eventually and hopefully be associated with a high level of craftsmanship.

On another note, I reached out to Buckeye and one other service. They quoted me a similar rate; $150 and $160 for one stamp. I can't remember which at the moment but, one of the services said that they wouldn't be able to fill in the negative space in my mark. I am still up in the air which I will go with.

Thanks all for your answer.
Thats fair enough.

Imo i dont think having a signature should prevent from making a high quality job. Its even the opposite, as i have my name on all my blades, i want them to be perfect and top notch quality, it pushes my limit.
But all tastes and opinions are in nature, and 100% understand your point 😉
