It's been a while since the MM has been in the rotation. Sliced up some steak to go onto our salad and was reminded about how great of a cutter it is.

I finally got around to making a pocket slip. I like to carry even my high-dollar knives (like this case mini-copperhead with mammoth tusk scales), but I like to have the nicer ones protected. I bought leather for some slips a few years ago and finally got the kit to sew them. There's room for improvement but I'm happy with this first effort.

Yesterday’s knife madness: we were a group of 9 knife enthusiasts (among them 3 makers) gathering, discussing, cutting, eating and enjoying a beautiful day in my step parents‘ garden, short-term shelter for 121 knives (+2 prototypes):

@KAMON Knives , @martinhuber , @JayS20 , @KDSDeluxe , @mack

Among the knives were 26 knives (+1 spoon) from @KAMON Knives. And no, they were NOT all from my personal collection - neither the Kamon knives not the 121 (+2) in total…

Custom Masamoto Honyaki Gyuto 360mm.
Finally done fixing this big guy and put a new handle on.
Since the knife will be used for service, not picky about some imperfections.
Shig Yo Gyuto 180mm looks tiny next to it.

What a sweet service weapon. I love using my 330 kono white 1 yanagi for service and can definitely see myself swinging a 360 around and loving it.
