Curious if someone might have a damascus billet they'd be willing to part with. I'm looking for one to make a 225-230 wa gyuto. Must be at least 2"/51mm wide, a little wider would be better. 12" or longer, at least 3mm thick, 4mm would be better.
Open to carbon or stainless.
Something like feather or river of fire would be my top choice, but open to other patterns.
Please let me know if you have something (or know of a damascus maker who could make something within a month or two).
 
Have you looked at the knife supply houses? Admiral steel, Alabama Damascus? Or ask makers on IG who they use. I prefer stainless so this is out of my realm of personal experience.
