Hi all.

I'm getting more and more into quality stainless cookware. And I have come to to the point where I would like to own a stainless conical frypot/Cocotte.

At the moment I'm on hollyday in Belgium at has come by a beautifull little kitchenwear shop that sells a demeyere Silver 7 28 cm pot.

Anyone knows if the silver 7 line is any good? It will be used on induktion.

I have noticed that compared to the Atlantis line it doesn't have the sandwich bottom. It does however still feels pretty heave and thick. I would rather not it warps over time.

What do people say?

Kindly Søren.

Silver is basically identical to Atlantis, just different handle design, and the lid might be slightly better (double walled). Honestly it's a sidegrade.
Atlantis series also has this layered setup on the conical braisiers instead of the sandwich bottoms. So performance wise they are virtually identical.
If you want to save some money the Atlantis version is usually a bit cheaper (just over 200 euros at bestsale.be).

Sounds good. I will check that. But do you know if the bottoms stay flat without the sandwich construction? Even on induktion?

I've been using proline on induction for ~1.5yrs as my daily without any warping
Atlantis/Silver7 have thicker bottoms than proline so they should be even more resilient to warping

This is incorrect. The proline frying pans are (mostly) 4.8mm. The atlantis and silver conical models are 3 or 3.3mm.
That being said, I never had warping issues on any of my 3mm thick stainless clad.

Thanks for good info. 😊 But when I Google the thing. The thickness is advertised as 4,1 mm.

This review may illustrate the design philosophy behind Demeyere. Maybe you can infer what your pan construction might be. My understanding is that silver 7 follows Atlantis/Proline design principles with minor esthetic differences.

Unfortunately the review is not dated but I’m guessing it’s 8-9 years old. I don’t think he’s posted since 2016. Product line names may have changed more than underlying construction philosophy.

Woops I've got bad memory, I have the Industry5 not the proline. I didn't want to deal with long preheat times.
