never tried the kit. but both of those 8k's are gold!
got the white one first. quite good kasumi. but what its really does best are edges. they feel ultra agressive somehow for an 8k.
and the stone feels just awesome.
but i think i'm gonna give the white 8k away since i like the green one better. its better for kasumi (95% as good as my uchi).
no stray scratches. edges are similar.

I've been using the King 8K gold for a hi finisher for a while now. Love the edge. Keen but still has bite. That said, the "feel" is average at best. Might be an 8K Suehiro in my future
Bunch of enablers here. My wallet hates you guys. Bought the ouka 3 weeks ago and indeed it is a killer stone. Nice creamy feedback that doesn’t load up whatsoever.
