Edge/polish inspection: How to set up a microscope connected to your laptop

Hey guys,

I would like some help from the collective wisdom of sharpeners here who has played around with microscope for inspecting edges and scratch depths...

How does one go about searching for one that will not break the bank? ($4-600), and any tips and tricks on connection to a laptop would be appreciated.

I’ve used Dino-lites for a variety of things including edge inspection, polish, etc. There are better options for this purpose I’m sure but this one has worked well for me. I can’t remember exactly which one I have but I think it’s this one. There are a bunch of different versions at different price points too
