This thread has been here so long because it is obviously overpriced...
See that’s where you’re mistaken, it’s actually because it’s UNDERpriced.

We should jack up the cost by 30% and that should sort it!

And I thought my once a year bump for an Aframes Shiraki Tesshu WTB ad was excessive.

Replying to an old post, but where did you find this handle? It’s looks gorgeous.
All good, this was a two tone amboyna burl from knives and stones, had it on a honyaki shiraki, sold the knife but kept the handle because I loved it so much. Can probably get something similar from joe at sugi cutlery or sean porter, etc.

wait are folks actually not into the discounts for working pros?

maybe Ive never been called out on it because I cannot ever have been accused of selling a knife or stone for a profit lol.

Most genius play in the book, if they won't want it when it's cheap, of course they will want it when it's expensive

If that brings in the bux... :D

Edit: Okay, now I realize this is a specific reference and not just a generic statement reflecting how some KKFers have been falling for santokus. The nakiri should be worth more since there is more damascus with the squared off end
