Hey guys
Well first a bit about me and my knives
I'm from Ireland and I've been making kitchen knives as a hobby for the last 5 or 6 years when time and equipment allowed
Then almost exactly a year ago I got my first anvil and basically since then forging has taken over my life.fully
It's been a year of full time forging,7 long glorious days a week
I feel in my soul that I was put here to forge knives
And so it is I have this gyuto up for sale
Hand forged from 1" round silver steel BS1407 which is similar to 26c3 spicy white
Hardened and tested at HRC 62 63
Blade lenght 240 mm
Handle length 115mm
Blade height at heel 50mm
Thickness above heel 2.4mm
Halfway down spine 1.7 mm
1cm from tip 0.7mm
1cm above edge at heel 1.0mm tapering to 0.6mm near tip
Tapered tang
Balanced at pinch point where spine meets bolster(I'll get pic of that up tomorrow)
Symmetric grind thin convexed edge
Red malley burr with red micarta liners
Comes with maple saya and brass pin

Weight?

The profile of the blade is a bit like a mix between a gyuto and a santoku.
I would have prefered it to be more a gyuto, with less curve towards the tip.

Sorry i forgot to put weight
220g and handle is red malley burr
That ended up with more belly than my normal profile
Im just oiling up 2 more typical gyutos now,k tips with flatter profiles integrals with thuya burr
I'll get pics up tomorrow
