This stone is close to brand new. I used it once as a splash and go for less than ten minutes using light pressure. There's no appreciable dishing or wear to the stones surface apart from the logo being partially rubbed off. There are also some very tiny chips on the edges, but nothing that would interfere with use. I really like this stone and the toothy yet refined edges it leaves, but it just doesn't fit into my normal routine and progression. So it sits in its box, and that’s a shame. Someone put this thing to use!

around what grit is this? I know it's a variable but around where does it finish? Is it something like 2-3k? or closer to 6k? 8k?

It's tough to say, but I'd say that it's in the 4-6k-ish range. The product description mentions that it's supposed to have the feedback of a 3k, whatever that means. I just thought of it as a not-too-refined finishing stone that leaves an edge that's toothy enough for tomato and pepper skin but refined enough so that cuts are glossy and smooth feeling.

Also, this stone is sold. Thanks KKF!
