Hi there,

Thanks for becoming a member of this forum.

My name is Fabian (Jäger). I'm a 35 y old hobby knifemaker from Germany.

I've been making knives for about 4 years, but kitchen knives are the most exciting and at the same time the most difficult challenge for me. the process of making such a knife is very complex and that is what excites me so much. I hope to be able to learn a lot here in the forum and to have exciting conversations about our favorite tool.

Gruß Fabian ✌

Don't worry 😄👍
Servus is typical for Bavarians/Austrians, that's right, but 'gruess gott' isn't unusual outside of Bavaria. Typical for Saxony is 'glueck auf' but that's more usual in 'Erzgebirge'.

For me, personally, it doesn't matter. I also say 'moin' or "g'auf" (glueck auf) or anything else....
