This is a semi custom blade from Joe where I requested it to be ground tall with slight convexity.

Core: 1.2519
Clad: wrought iron
Handle: western style spalted maple
Edge length: 225mm
Height at heel: 51mm
Spine thickness after the semi integral bolster: 3.7mm
Spine Thickness at heel: 2.9mm
Weight: 224gms

Hasn’t been sharpened and used only a couple times. This is a very high performing blade. Happy to share videos of the test cuts I did. In trying my best not to have drawer queens and this one is slightly shorter for me to have in my rotation

Paid $875 for this. Listing it for $850 shipped CONUS. I will cover the first $15 for international shipping

Please ask me for any more pics/videos as needed!

@Prajwal curious what's in your daily rotation, considering what you just dropped on BST today. Please tell.
Hey man @steveo !
Massive apologies for not getting back to you on this.

My preference falls more towards lasers and light mid-weights. I’m also a major major major hardent knives and hopwoods fan, having quite a few of those in my collection. so I usually always have a handful of those on my knife holder. Same is the case for my WHs. I know which knife works for me so I generally don’t swap that one out. Anyhow, here is my current rotation:

Workhorse
  • Halcyon forge kurouchi custom: 1.2519 core wrought iron clad, tall ground semi integral stone finished bevels with a shortened bog oak handle
Light Midweights
  • Hopwood custom: 1.2519 core, wrought iron 75Ni8 shichimai clad, swappable amboyna burl and ironwood burl handle
  • Xerxes integral: apex ultra core, forget what the cladding is made of, yew handle
  • Heldqvist honyaki: c130 I want to say? Charred oak and deer antler handle with a burly spacer. This one is specifically very nice. He made two of them and a dear friend has the other, so I was able to use both side by side and this one stays in my rotation most times.
  • Simon Krichbaum custom: apex ultra core, wrought iron clad, ground tall and stone finished bevels. Yew handle to go along with it
Laser
  • Hardent custom integral: 1.2442 core, 145 layers Damascus. He made this for me in a French Aaba tier style profile with a drop down profile, she oak lace handle
  • Hardent custom external tang: sidestack full Damascus with the handle made out of the same billet and inlayed with a Turkish walnut block
  • Hopwood stainless stock removal: Jonathan had a larger billet as a spare so he offered to make this one taller than the rest for me, and we decided to go with a curly walnut handle
Petty
  • Hopwood Sanmai petty: 125 sc core wrought iron clad and a bog oak handle
  • Currently also giving the Ludwig x JLA a run for its money: white 1 core stainless clad. I got it to try and polish stainless steel blades, but I cannot risk to do anything to the finish, it’s perfectly finished by JLA and I’ll just ruin it
But yes that’s my current rotation :) I try to change every few weeks, but some hardents and hopwoods are almost always on my holder. Heldqvist might be the next permanent on it

Here I’ll share a pic and a video🙂
