Been a long absence from the forum.
Largely because you’re all horrible enablers with very good taste, and also I got screwed over by Pierre Rodrigue to the tune of $1300 and never saw my money or the steak knife set I commissioned.

Never did get a set of good steak knives to fill the void, does anyone here have a good recommendation?

Off the top I only know Laguiole. I don't believe Bradford are forged but they're handmade and worth checking out.

Tony LaSeur does both forged and stock removal.
He's great to work with!

Thanks to everyone who gave recommendations I’ll look them over. Some new to me names there.
Any more thoughts keep them coming!

With nice steak knives, do they have to be sharpened all the time?
I would assume so if you want them sharp as hell to cut steaks. Im actually more concerned most steak knives I see are actually full bolster and cannot be sharpened.

Thanks, laguiole was always there and great but the handle doesn’t work for me.
Before starting this thread was mentally pining for a San Mai clad steak knife set.
Shihan has a good aesthetic. Tobbe Lundstrom was the other steak knife set maker I had eyes on.
