Letting go of another 2 excellent knives, both from great makers, has to let go to consolidate my knives.

1. Harner 7” Semi-flexible boning knife, edge actually closer to a 8 inch, so quite large for home use, walnut full tang handle with 62-63 HRC CTS XHP steel, excellent for a your boner need. Bought for $270, sell for $250

2. Fredrik Spåre 200 x 70mm 26C3 Honyaki

Truly hard to let this go but I have a pretty set preference for Cleaver dimension now. This is my first custom order from him, it was bit late due to his life changing, but he delivered with a beautiful blade. Saya included, the handle is beautiful, grind is excellent like all his knives. Bought for a great deal at $350, sell for $340. Sharpened once, can remove patina with flitz if you want.

That first one really looks pretty much like the ideal boner / trimmer. Just about the only thing I'd change about it would be throwing on some idiot-proof abuse-ready handle scales like micarta or g10.
But it actually has the little bit of extra length I'm always missing in the usual 6 inch length, while still having that nice slender profile, that you just don't get a from a petty / small suji.

Actually... holy hell... is that the actual DOUBLE BIRCH (birch bark + curly birch) combination I've been crying for since eternity?
