I’m Viv and I’ve been in London for just over 5 years now.
I got into cooking and have always appreciated practical tools done well and of high quality - is essentially what piqued my interest in knives. I only recently started feeling confident sharpening with a whetstone (and can actually trust that the blade would be better and not worse by the time I’m done!) so clearly I’m still a novice here.
Being from Sydney and now living on the other side of the world, I’m only recently realising how much I’ve taken a relatively easy access to Asia for granted. Alas, I’ve finally got a Japan trip secured which I’m definitely thinking to line up with picking up a couple of knives. I decided to join this forum after stumbling on some threads and seeing how nice and helpful everyone is - really seems like a good group to be a part if I may!
