Hey, I’m a “pro” cook in Minneapolis who’s been reading KKF for a while and appreciative of the knowledge you guys share.

    Here’s my current kitchen knives!

That’s a custom that was gifted to me recently. I don’t really know a lot about it, but it’s beautiful. The maker is in Idaho and relatively new to knife making from my understanding. It’s about 240mm & single bevel with a burl handle and Damascus style blade. I couldn’t find out exactly what steel it is & haven’t used it yet.

You have a great screen name. Welcome to the forum. Thank you also for posting the photo of your knives! Do you own a lot of left-handed knives?

Welcome- I lived in Mpls. over by Lake of the Isles for 14 years, until condo developers bought up the building and pushed me out.

I could have bought my 1BR basement apartment from the developers for only $270,000...

I miss "eat street", go back for the food occasionally.

Yeah that’s an expensive neighborhood. I’m in Linden Hills on the other side of Lake Calhoun not too far from there.

I lived in Linden Hills for 6 months, 1990-1991. I got lucky and rented the 3rd floor (servant's quarters!) of an 1880's mansion overlooking lake Hariet near the band shell for $200/month. Beautiful location, lousy plumbing.
