Hi y'all, I'm primarily a saltwater fisherman and that led me into knives as I break down a lot of fish. I have a few debas and a yanigiba, nothing too special and they're real workhorses, but I'm looking to better my sharpening practices and expand into some better knives in the future, which brings me here!

Welcome.

I fish the flats in Fl, (not as often as I would like) but use a 150 or 165mm deba to break down trout and reds. Much more precise than the western fillet knife.

I agree much more precise and natural than a fillet knife, at least for me. I currently have a 150mm and a 180mm, but looking at getting a 210mm or a 240mm mioroshi deba to upgrade the arsenal. Always nice to see another fisherman around!
