I haven't posted a lot in this forum. So I thought it was about time I started. I'm a chef who like a lot of other chefs enjoy knives and sharpening. I've picked up a couple of vintage knives this summer so I thought I would show off a little. Here is a 26 cm herder

Nice knife! Funny how the older German knives have so much nicer edge profiles than the newer ones.

I know right? I'm always on the lookout for vintage henckels and the like. But their new stuff. Meh
 
Made for export to Argentina? Possibly re-handled in Argentina?
 
Yup, Herder re-handled as a gaucho knife. Sheath gave it away.

How do they compare to the other knives you own? I've always found those blades interesting but never pulled the trigger. I should have gotten that 50 USD santoku when I had the chance
