For sale is a custom Western gyuto I had Randy make for me a couple years ago.

Haas feather Damascus, Shig/HHH profile.

250 mm blade length
57.5 mm high at the heel
218 grams
Rosewood burl, blackwood spacers, stainless mosaic pins.

Great cutter, great size, and simply beautiful. Absolutely nothing to fault in Randy's work. Sadly, I just couldn't make peace with a Western handle. Tried a few times, never modified or sharpened. Just too beautiful a knife to sit in a box!

Damn, can't believe this has not sold. Too many newer members here that may not know Randy and the great work he and his son did years ago developing their patterned damascus. And Randy's attention to detail is up there with some of the other best-known makers.
