Purchased here a few months back, I wanted to try Togashi white 1 and this does not disappoint! This was also my first Sakai wide bevel, and it was an eye opener! Fantastic laser like cutting performance with a good bit of heft and feels super solid on the board. This seems like a prototypical, perfectly executed wide bevel grind in my mind, it seems these can vary quite a bit in grind and thickness. It was lightly thinned bte and re-finished prior to my purchasing it. Has seen light home use in my rotation since. It came to me with a fresh bbw edge, which was probably my favorite edge I’ve ever used! Hasn’t been sharpened since. Has a very nice patina on the core steel. The handle on this is Taihei ebony and blond horn and it is absolutely gorgeous. Asking$275 $260! shipped
