I've been using a wooden magnetic knife stand on my countertop to hold some of my knives. But every time a knife got close enough to the block, the 'thunk' of the blade hitting the wood surface just made me cringe a little. So, I decided that I would make my own leather wrapped magnetic knife stand. I just finished up today and wanted to share some pictures:
1. I ordered a wooden magnetic knife block, a 12"x24" sheet of leather, and a tube of leather adhesive from Amazon
2. Glue leather to each side of stand, clamp, and let dry
3. Add knives
