Hot plate (EU)

I've done some googling but wanted to see if there's any suggestions here as well. I live in a dorm and the hot plates in the kitchen are terrible. They can't even sear anything, let alone get hot enough to boil water. I'm looking for a singular electric/induction hob thats inexpensive but can actually get proper hot, any suggestions?
I live in the Netherlands btw, so I'm mainly looking at EU online stores or local ones.

That looks great, and 3kW is more than enough power. But it's about twice what I'd want to pay

Ikea has one, but I haven't tried it..

Yep, I'm looking at either that one or the Tefal one for slightly more.
