Hi,
I have bunch of different knives and slowly getting comfortable spending a bit more money. In the 90s I bought Wusthof and Henkel. In the past few years I bought a couple of the KRAMER by ZWILLING EUROLINE knives and for first real foray into Japanese I bought a Gyuto Tangetsu White #1 from Japanese Knife Imports, despite all the caution provided with that purchase I chipped it in the first two weeks. I have a couple of other knives and did my first sharpening last week. I'm here to learn.
