So here is the story… I really wanted a Jiro and I waited for the perfect one. In last few months I handled 6 different Jiros and the moment I picked this one up I knew this was it! Fit and finish was spot on, length was perfect (I find 240mm too large and 210mm sometimes feels a little small) and height of 58mm is always welcoming. Extremely satisfying to hold, natural stone polished edge is simply AMAZING. It has never been used, in pristine brand-new condition.

Why am I selling it then? Need the cash. But I wont sell it at a loss.

I bought it from Tosho. Paid CAD 950 + 13% GST = CAD 1,073 (if you wanna see the receipt, shoot me a pm and I’ll show it to you). I am not selling this at a loss, so my asking price is CAD 1,115 + shipping (charging you for Paypal fees).

Here are the specs:

Size: 225mm
Steel: Yasuki White (Shirogami) #1, Soft Iron Clad

Total Length: 388mm
Edge Length: 229mm
Handle to Tip Length: 245mm
Blade Height: 58mm
Thickness: 4.3mm
Handle Length: 143mm
Weight: 264g
