Hey all,

Looking to try out more of the JKI stones I haven’t tried before. I’m big on splash and go so looking at these 3 specifically, let me know if you have any ;)

Open to the Maido 2000 and 7000 as well but it seems not too many folks have it or haven’t seen much commented on it so not sure if one will pop up but worth mentioning.

Also open to almost all the Suehiro Debado SNE stones as well, haven’t used or tried almost any of these and they are just about the only line of synthetics splash and go available in the USA I don’t own/haven’t tried. Really enjoy the Debado MD so curious about these

Yeah that one in particular interests me, excited to hear it’s great. I mean all the Gesshin stones are that I’ve tried but even among his stuff it’s a gem

I haven’t tried the Gesh 1200 but I believe it should be soaked for best results, no? At least that’s what Jon recommends…

I think it’s listed as splash and go and you can use it that way but you can also perma soak it and that works too? Or that Jon likes it better when soaking but it seems to work either way?
