Selling a couple of higher grit jnats because I never sharpen over 5k. I'll take $30 off if someone buys both.
Old stock Oouchi
900g (190 x 72 x 32mm) *underside is uneven, depth is taken at deepest point*
I bought this a while back from someone that bought it from an old stash of jnats in Japan (allegedly 40 years old). I tried the middle section once so I didn't damage the stamps, felt medium-hard 8k+, Self-slurried more than the Yaginoshima but hard to tell given the limited space I had. The photo doesn't capture the colors of this stone.
$300 in Australia, $330 overseas. Less than I paid.
Yaginoshima Asagi (/w matching nagura)
980g (182 x 66 x 34mm)
The hardest stone I own but I still enjoyed using it on my Takeda nakiri, creates a semi-mirror finish. It needs the nagura to get started unless you're using a wide bevel knife. It's probably around 7-9k grit.
$130 in Australia, $160 overseas. Less than I paid.
