Trying to cull the herd and these three are languishing in the drawer. Hope these will find the right homes that will give them their proper use.
1. (SOLD) Joel Black Apex Ultra Wrought iron cladding Workhorse gyuto
240x 56mm Bog oak wa handle with thick tang Weight: 286 gm
Fantastic knife if you're into full workhorse grinds. This is still thin BTE and very sharp OOTB. Used it for some cutting tests and it just falls on veggies, even potatoes. I realized I'm not into weighty workhorses. So this was barely used. Never sharpened. Would keep this if not for a custom JB in the works.
Price: $600 shipped CONUS.
My photos are crappy compared to Joel's so I will include some of his here.

2. (SOLD) William Catcheside C105 forged-geometry Integral gyuto with polished iron cladding 240 x 52mm, weight: 224gm
Cocobolo with narrow western handle
Got this for a good deal:

Used it to thinly slice some proteins over the holidays and I think this is what it was made to do. Should be a good all-rounder with the tip and heft at the heel but somehow it stayed in the drawer. Very light use. Never sharpened.
I received it with what might be a little unpolished part at the tip. The seller didn't even notice it, assuming imperfections with Catcheside forged geometry was part of the "package." It didn't bother me as it's tiny but I wanted to mention it here. I also included a photo. Another keeper if not for a custom Catchy coming soon.
Got it for a good price so just passing it on.
Price: $550 shipped CONUS.
3. (SOLD) Radiona Breg Apex Ultra Semi-integral gyuto, Iron clad 225 x 55mm Weight: 247gm
Bog oak handle
Another one that was placed in the drawer after test cutting on some vegetables. Great length and height, affording maneuverability and knuckle clearance. Wonderful cutter too. I think this was a victim of having just too many knives and playing favorites with some. Original owner sharpened it once and has not been sharpened since. Still very sharp. I received it with a micro-chip on the tip. Will surely disappear with the next sharpening. I also received it with a little dent on the handle which I didn't mind but need to point it out here. Can be smoothed-out by more woodworking capable hands.
Got it for $490, passing it on for a little less.
Price: $475 shipped CONUS. With original saya.
