Here is a wip video of a 28cm long sujihiki.
This is a san mai blade, with 14c28n in the core, and the clad is a homemade 20 layers stainless damascus on each side.

No marking so far, and no sharpening yet. I will attach a right handed ironwood & olive wood handle to it.

Any feedback so far ?

@Guirotin are you making the stainless Damascus cladding or using something purchased? The reason I ask is I see INOX mentioned.

Very nice work.
I forge my own stainless damascus.
And then i forge the san mai with my previously homade stainless damascus.

This is my baseline.
I have also some knives with industrial stainless damascus (suminagashi vg10, or damasteel), but in that case it is clearly stated.

Inox stands for stainless in french ;)

I did some quick research after I posted and figured that out. Thus the edit. :)

Balbach has a line of stainless damascus they produce called INOX DSC that’s where I got confused. Thanks for the education.
