Just a few words about myself,

I am a self taught knife maker from central France . ( i am sorry about my english ... :/ )

i am came to forging by making my stone carving tools. I was a stonemason for 10 years.
now , i'am full time knife maker since .... 4 ? 5 ? 6 year ...I feel old :D

of course, i make my own sanmai and nimai using the famous 145sc steel , soft steels(XC10) ,and Wrought iron ( sometimes filched from cathedral sites, but shhh... :D ) , I always do a water quenching with this steel.

Heh ! Avec le statut de vendeur d'un coup les choses semblent prendre une autre dimension. La classe 'Sieur Bryan !

Welcome Bryan! This may get me back into French knives.

I'm a faithful follower of your instagram and can't wait to try one of your knives..(soon hopefully). Welcome aboard

So are you doing them all bespoke, or making what you want then putting it in the shop? Also, what are the HRC ranges - I see some makers dare to go for 67 with that steel, is that (or even more) at all viable on a kitchen knife? S&H costs to expect intra-EU?

Sorry if that is somewhere on the site, couldn't find it.

I am super happy to see you here as a vendor Bryan :)

For everyone else - I have a custom order from Bryan coming up by the end of the year, so you all know what you can expect a few weeks after I will take the delivery of my new gyuto :)

i take custom order, but now I have a waiting list of about six months :/
and sometimes i take time for making somthing "for me" , and i put in the shop .

about this steel , i am around 63/65 dépendent knife i do, i can keep harder ....

and for the S&H, intra eu : 20 euros.

Cool de te voir aussi ici Bryan!

Like Matus, I have a custom order coming this year. Looking very much forward! I can already share that with you: Bryan is very friendly and communication with him is extremely smooth! His Instagram account is really #kinfeporn with superb pics.

thank you zetieum , my english is very bad, but if you have some precise questions/ request, my dear wife is Canadian (BC) and will be happy to help me answer you.

Welcome Bryan, pilfered Wrought iron is allways the best type :D

... a twin set of 15cm petties, polished, one at a resilient temper and one at sharpest-but-treat-it-like-ceramic temper, with octagon handles in two differently colored, classic stamina-like stain+lacquer finishes ... any rough idea what that would run up to?

Not an expert in describing handle finishes. The "polished" was about the blade though :)

And yes, I know I am annoying in asking for random estimates....

Your work looks great. Waiting to save the money to buy one of your knives.
