Wakui/Kaeru Workhorse
214mmx51mm
Shirogami 2
African blackwood with bocote
282g
Taper: out of the handle 6,12 mm, heel 5,64mm, middle 4,49mm, 2cm before tip 1,21, 1 cm before tip 0,80mm

It got an amazing thinning out withe belt sander by suntravel. A very talented german knife maker. The handle was attached by me and the edges of the handle were rounded off nicely.
I also gave the knife a nice new blade finish.
It has a nice taper. It cuts great while still being a workhorse.

Since I have too many newcomers and I only concentrate on western knife makers, I let it go with a heavy heart.

I would like $/€ 300 + shipping costs, preferably within the eu.

Looks great. Would probably go for it if it was the 240mm. The plus that it was thinned and worked by Suntravel makes me want this even if the size is not my preferred. Would love to have a knife made by him but it looks virtually impossible to reach him ( I do not have IG so not sure if he is there ).

Should sell fast this one. GLWS.

Cheers.

Thanks very much🙏

No, he's not on Instagram. He's on the german Kochmalscharf forum. And even there, it's hard to get a knife from him. For me one of the best knife makers.

Cheers

Handle install looks flawless. I can’t believe it weighs 282 grams, must be an amazing workhorse!

Well, I will keep dreaming someone will post one here for sale one day. 😄

Cheers.

Excellent knife at a great price, especially considering its pre-thinned and has a handle upgrade. Taper at the tip looks great. Took me hours to thin mine and it burnt through a good amount of my low grit stone.

This reminds me of a guy on Reddit that thinned a 240 version of this and it performed really well on hard veggies... Makes me want to try the same on my 240.
