Heyo, so I've failed my 1 in 1 out, but am now doing 2 in 1 out, this must go
230ishx49 Stainless Clad Ginsan, the convex version, which is forged by Nakagawa, sharpened by Myojin, under the brand Kagekiyo
Definitely a laser, but with a bit less sticking than on a super thin one. Myojin really does grind a great knife.
Bought from Miura ~6 months ago, had a bit of use at home, but not much lately. Sharpened once or twice, never thinned.
The handle it came with was walnut ribbed for no one's pleasure and just an odd shape in general. It broke while taking it off, and has been replaced by a burnt oak by @tostadas. Definitely one of the best handles I've ever used. This handle also shifted the balance farther forward which the knife really needed.
The tang was pretty irregular + strangely shaped so I ground it down with a belt sander. I have bad aim and went a bit too far past where the handle stops, so there are some scratches on the neck of the knife. Could be removed with a sandpaper progression but was too lazy to ever do it.
Price reflects handle upgrade + discount for scratches
Specs:
Length: 229/230mm
Height at heel: 49mm
Weight: 165g
Spine thickness at handle: 3.2mm

Asking $300 275 including shipping to US. Happy to ship internationally and will include the first $15 of shipping.
Thanks!
