Kagekiyo 240mm gyuto

anyone used this and a tanaka kyuzo? how do they compare? pretty similar specs

Kagekiyo is a bit thicker at the spine + heavier while also being thinner bte. Both are more or less in the same ballpark for F&F, TxK leaves the raised groove in the choil from rounding
They're both very similar knives, from a performance perspective Kagekiyo cuts a bit more effortlessly

hmmm, thanks good info. Is the kagekiyo also flat to concave? or is the grind different?

Guys,

This is a BST thread. It's for the OP to advertise his knife (nice knife @ashy2classy).

If you have legit questions about the actual knife for sale, have at it.

For example, you could ask, "is it a lacquer handle?"

If you wanna discuss how two different knives compare, start another thread.

Maybe check the BST rules before posting in BST again.
