Hey,

I just picked up this (used) knife and would like to figure out the kanji. So far, I have figured out:

宗膳守時和 (Side 1)...Not as confident on the second and last characters
?本 (Side 2)

Attached are some pictures. If anyone can let me know what it means, I'd be most appreciative! Googling meanings hasn't gotten me far.

Thanks!
Tyler

The "brand" is Miyamoto 宮本. There is a Miyamoto Hamono in Hiroshima but no idea if it's them.
The longer kanji is also a mysterym, I "think" it says Munekatsu Moritoki 宗勝守時和
Looks like an old knife and see no current information matching either

Thanks for the info, Ken. It's nice to know the maker's name, even if more info isn't readily available.

If anyone knows more about the long kanji, I'd love to know. I assumed it would say something along the lines of "registered" or "specially made", as is often found on knives.

Thanks,
Tyler
