Hello!

Any chance that someone can identify this maker for me? It's stated as

Made by Shuji Toyama Made by Moritsugu​

seems to be some confusion either on my part or that of the poster. Mortisugu is not a name I am familier with and it does not look like a typical Toyama kanji as far as I can dig out of the webosphere.

A company called Yamada Toyojiro Shoten 山田豊次郎商店 from Sanjo Niigata sells knives from Shuji Toyama under this branding. Not sure if all the knives under this name are from him, but some are. I bought one from the retailer stamped as 守次作 years back, and 99% sure it's a Toyama. But I'd agree with EShin, not all are made by him.

Yes and no, that's the brand of this retailer(山田豊次郎商店), just like 鍔屋 for tsubaya or 月心/Gesshin for JKI.
