Yes, I do too!

治作 is chiselled how you’d expect - actually more fluidly than many other makers (say, 重房作, which always looks quite clunky to me for their knives’ price point) - but 平 is so interesting. I wonder why it’s done in such a stylised way.

平治作 which could be translated very directly as "Heiji's work".

So given that it does not have the three dots below the kanji, I am guessing your knife is Heiji's carbon steel?
