More of the same brand of the ko-deba I sold recently. Swordsmith family that had a Sakai outfit. Maybe @refcast or @Greasylake know more. Their entry level stuff could be a little bland but they also made some funky stuff that is just awesome.
First up, blue steel yanagiba with an interesting hammered finish. Steel is hard but well balanced. Iron quite soft and has banding that hard stones can make apparent but softer ones will not. Removed all but the tiniest of low spots. Tip still imperfect. Basic uchigumori polish currently. Handle is ho and plastic.
240x30
$110
Next is a 180mm deba this is maybe one of the highest quality single bevels I’ve ever seen. Had never been sharpened before I got it and the ura was dead flat all the way around and the the grind had absolutely no low spots. Shinogi stayed true with sharpening and polishing. Still a small chip towards the heel. Very, very, very good ura. Steel is awesome, abrades and feels like hard aogami super takes an edge that effortless cuts paper towel.
10mm spine, 330g, 180mm true edge length
$145
