These stones get no love. But, really, they get the job done. I've used these sparingly for the past couple of years, and now I'd like to try some other stones, so these will not be seeing much use from me, and it's time for them for them to find a new owner. King 1000 and 6000.

If you're interested, say so in this thread, and I will include you in a random drawing on June 24. If you are chosen, you will receive them for free, shipping included. I only ask that you use them, and, if at some point, you feel you need to move on, you pass them along to someone else in the same spirit. Before I send them out, I will flatten them (which also cleans the surface), something I do before each sharpening session.

Regards,

Mark

P.S. That's a quilt my mom made in the background. :)

+1 to above...thank you for the chance. I (and my co-workers) could definitely use the heck out of that 1000.

What a generous thing to do! I don't need the stones, but am now thinking that this is where my old ones will end up as I upgrade!

Cheers

I'm in, have a buddy up in the US who could put this to use. Thanks for your generosity, and if drawn I'll pick up the shipping happily.

First, thanks for the kind words, everyone. So as not to seem too altruistic, I must admit my selfish motive: I am hoping for some good karma from this. :)

To select the winner, I used http://www.random.org/ to generate a random post number. The number generated was... 24. This means that our winner is micioarch! Congratulations, Andrea! Please let me know via PM where you'd like me to send the stones.

Regards,

Mark
