Gorgeous work, I especially like the ashi achieved on the hamon and the leather sheath. I feel this a bit of a bargain at the asking price considering the craftsmanship! GLWS

There's a quick video of it here, with distal taper and balance point included.

Thanks! I put a lot of work into this one.
My quality control inspector had to check it out for himself:

The leather sheath is so cool! You don’t happen to make shoes or kick-ass sandals too?

    No, haha! :D
Only sheaths (is this a saya?) at the moment. I always wanted to make a nice one, and I liked the idea of leather, wood and iron working together for a complete package.
I have a strong dislike for 'friction fit' covers, and didnt like the way other leather sheaths hold the knife in place, so I came up with this method after a few trials and errors. I really like the look and practicality of it.

I have so much more to learn about leather work...

I already commented that it was quite the package. Don't mean to sound like a shill but watching the IG video... that distal taper - wow!

Nice work Kip. Really working that hardening line!

Birdie's gotta be careful or he will lose a toe (or is that talon?)
