This is an interesting one - a thicker knife with a thin grind. It is slightly concave on both sides so it's very thin behind the edge like a laser, but it grows to workhorse size at the spine. It has very good food separation, but don't get this knife if food release is all you're after. I like to think of it as a "comfort laser"... if that makes any sense. :D

The handle is light-weight for this length blade, so even with a lot of distal taper it still has a forward centre of mass, shown in the pictures below.
    • 267 mm edge length
    • 54 mm heel height
    • 52100 high carbon steel
    • 248 grams
    • 4 mm spine thickness into handle
    • Tapered spine and grind (internal taper)
    • Heart shaped handle, removable beeswax install
    • Black Juma ferrule with brass spacer and pine wood.
    • $420 USD shipped
    Thanks for looking!

If I hadn't just gotten one of your honyaki, I would be all over this.

    Looks awesome.

Yum. Just realized what I really want from my eventual custom, although in a 240.

    I heart that handle.

Yes, thank you whoever bought this. Although, now that I think about it, maybe I do need a Kip.
