One of the most useful ideas I have been exposed to in the past 7 years is the notion of "harm reduction". I first heard it while talking with a student health practitioner in reference to student recreational drug use.
The idea was that they were gonna do it anyway, so why not try to reduce the probability of negative outcomes, and why not give the students the knowledge and tools to help themselves.
Somehow, the phrasing of "harm reduction" made immediate, clear, logical sense to me in a way that things like "Don't let perfect be the enemy of good." never quite did.
I've since adopted that philosophy in a lot of aspects of my life, especially in those areas where I already know I'm doing a ****** job. Incremental improvements are still improvements, and better is still better.

That was the problem that started a year ago - makers were being hidden from searches due to the content.
I can understand Milan's frustration is just having posts deleted by the word knife, especially considering all the other problematic stuff that is being posted on the platform.
