Thanks for showing me that ad at the bottom of the page. If you can, disable the right side bar for now and they will go away. You can click on new posts at top of page to get the new posts.

Is this still happening? Today the site was down for me for a few hours.
Still, I might not have this problem because all my traffic goes through Google's servers?

"When you use Lite mode, some of your web traffic may go through Google servers before being downloaded to your device. If the page is loading slowly, Google servers may simplify it so that less data gets downloaded to your device. Most of the time, your pages will look and work the same."

Has been down for a couple of days, just got in this late afternoon after the usual (but two days late) "Yesterday's Forum Activity" mail. Been trying multiple browsers in the meantime, but nothing more. The forum was unreachable, would it be with Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. So I'm thinking this DOES HAVE to do with KKF as all other online resources/vendor/whatever have been responding well. There's a handshake that isn't happening somewhere. For those exposed this might mean spam.... to those well aware, the forum was just unreachable. To those that were able to get on here anyhow, I'd like to find the culprit of those who couldn't.

Browsing through : PC, Mac, iOS, Android?

Version (of either Windows, Mac, iOS, Android)?

Browsing with (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, whatever)?

Problem started: MM/DD/YYYY

Problem resolved (might it be temporary) : MM/DD/YYYY

Any other event that might make you think you've personally been exposed?

And the last question: KKF, is there something weird happening on your side of things?

Browsing through : PC, Mac, iOS, Android?
Windows, iOS

Version (of either Windows, Mac, iOS, Android)?
Windows 10 1909 ; iOS 13.2

Browsing with (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, whatever)?
Chrome, Firefox, Safari all yielded unreachable IP address

Nothing at all - any other domain/thing is working fine. AV catching nothing. Porn working as usual and all... :):p

Knives porn that is... in the meanwhile I think I just found the deal working right for me for a Chef/Gyuto knife. Been browsing to hell of Canadian resources and back. There are a few players left still even after a 3-4 pages of Google results... and always more results after that might prove interesting.

CAD concerned I'd like to mention: Creative Cookware (15% off all around except most "encapsulated coffee" brands), MyKnifePro (want a 10" Chef's quality beater about 40% off? Messermeister Meridian Elite at 115$ CAD or so), and so much more deals (mostly on more atypical lenghts and profile than standard 8" W Chefs/J Gyutos).

For J knives however, it seem that one is either richer that knives are worth, or stucked with a bit of an overpriced offer although there is much more versatility of steels to be found in the 100-250$ bracket on the J side. Most will be AUS-8 or -10, VG-10, impure Carbon steel, and some Swedish C/SS, but only there one is still likely to find Blue or White Carbon, some half SS, pretty much all Swedish steels, or VG-10 done to a better extent than Shun does for 40% less or about.

Yeah even when KKF is down, Knives porn is overwhelming! ;)

MyKnifePro I think were one of the rarities to hold the Mac Pro 8.5" Chef's without dimples - I think PBK-85 or something - at 10$ more than the famed MTH-80. However, the MTH vs the PBK are two entirely different profiles. Tempered steel on both sides that may be, but the MTH-80 without dimples doesn't exist with Mac where the heat-treated steel is concerned. It's either a cheaper Mac Chef series with the same profile than the MTH (said TH-80) or the PBK-85 or PBK-95... (or was it the SBK... the MBK... oh crap, don't care won't buy).

The ads that may be causing that should be taken down tomorrow. At least they've been requested to be removed. I've done it and the site owner got some and sent a very specific email to the ad folks.
In the meantime, try disabling the right side bar. If they are coming from the "from the web" ads, that will make it go away until they go away. If you do that, check back tomorrow evening or Saturday for making sure that the right side is okay again.

Just happened to me on iOS about twenty times. Could barely fire off a PM without being redirected. Seriously like 20+ times. Just flushed the safari cache but still had problems.
Same with Google chrome on my android phone.
I'm currently on a different browser on my phone now, seems to be the only thing that works here. For now

I’m on an iPad, getting that spam page every other time I switch threads. Hope that gets fixed soon.

Can you turn off ads? Just to verify that it's coming from them or not.
Go to UserControlPanel, (click on little man icon in the top right corner)
Then Preferences
At bottom you can turn off ads and right sidebar. Do both and save.
Then let me know how it is. And this only works if you are logged in.
As a Guest there are ads.

I just tested that forum on my iPad and I'm not getting it.
Anyone else getting it at this time?

Angie, I always have Block Sidebar From Appearing and Disable Advertising checked.

I switched my Chrome setting to "Desktop site" (still on phone) and it looks like I don't get the redirect blocked notifications on desktop mode. As soon as I go back to mobile mode, the redirects reappear.

Thank you, we had one more spam/malware blocker added to the server.
