I've got two gyutos up on the trade block (I was going to sell one but couldn't decide which one so I'll put them up for trade and see if anyone has a preference). Looking for a Yanick or a Murray Carter gyuto in the 220-230mm range. I'm happy to add money to the deal so just let me know what it'll take to make a deal happen. If no trades, I'll probably list these for sale. I can't remember what I paid for either of these back in 2018 so lets say the trade value is ~$500-600 and I'll adjust as needed. If anyone has any suggestions on fair values, I'm all ears via PM!
Knife 1: Konosuke Fujiyama Blue #1 (240mm) Khii Ebony Handle. Purchased new from Tosho back in December of 2018. I'm not positive but I believe this is in the FM series. Patina is pretty strong, a lot of blues/browns throughout the knife. I had it in a home rotation of about 10 other knives so it got some use but not much - I touched it up a few times on a 6000 stone and just had it sharpened for the first time by District Cutlery only on stones.
Knife 2: Marko Tsourkan 245mm A2 steel with Mango (I believe) D handle. This is one of his workhorse grinds though I wouldn't call it a heavyweight. Purchased this new back in 2018 and was used at home in the same rotation as above ^. I sharpened this one twice at home and just had it sharpened by District Cutlery as well only on stones.
The patinas were a bit hard to capture so took a few photos - happy to provide more on request. Two of my favorite knives - just had them for a while and looking for something new and shiny to play with.
