I am letting go of my trusty laser. The knife was purchased without handle. A custom handle was crafted specifically for this knife for me by the vendor (a bloke in UK who stopped selling knifes and made a lot of wooden chopping blocks too). The knife is otherwise unmodified and basically as new.
The blade stock of these knives is ground very thin and they glide through everything with ease, but it still has enough weight and heft for heavy and daily use.
The core steel is a very modern semi-stainless, which sharpens beautifully and needs little or no care. I never encountered any rust or discolouration.
Since the cladding is stainless, this makes this knife a very low-maintenance companion.
