Personal cheffing is a good gig if the people you work for are reasonable. I know some people who have been run ragged by the families the work for. It's hard for a cook/chef who has always made next to nothing to turn down the money.

I knew a personal chef who's primary role (after cooking for the family) was getting stoned with the 60 year old former hedge fund manager she worked for. She was a baker by training and he would pay her extra for edibles.

Also got to live at their country estate on a lake with limited boat access for the summer. Was about as good of a job as you could ever want unless you're focused on climbing the ladder.

I really dont know why she needs the chef to be Kosher ... the woman is(was born) Catholic. her father is Italian and mother French-Canadian.

According to the Jewish Voice website:
"In terms of Jewish spiritual practice, the ‘Like A Virgin” hitmaker has been involved in the Kabbalah movement and has visited Israel on a number of occasions"

Personally, if I had an obscene amount of money for a private chef I might seek a Kyoto trained Kaiseki chef who did the rounds working in Michelin starred restaurants in France and renowned food stalls in Asia and Mexico.
