I'm not particular motivated to sell any of these but I'm not using them as often as I either used to or intended to so I'm testing the waters.

SOLD - First up is a Stainless Martell 240 Western. This is from the final batch of Martell knives that were sold by District Cutlery back 2021. Handle is dyed figured maple with some very nice chatoyance (for maple). I've owned a few Martell's now and I think he did his best work (out of the options I've handled) on this blade. It's seen a gesshin 2k stone once or twice and stropped on a gesshin 6k a couple more but I'm very conservative with my sharpening and only look to maintain the edge. This was a daily driver in a home environment for a while so it has some very light scratches on the blade faces but it's well cared for. 237x57mm. I paid $583 after taxes for this knife and given that Dave is no longer making knives, I'm asking $580 shipped CONUS. Link to original District Cutlery listing.

Next up is a set of Zwilling Kramer Carbon (52100) knives. Set includes the 10" chef's knife, utility knife, and paring knife. I spend some time looking for original versions (ebony handles) that did not have shrinking issues and ended up with some great knives. The handles are as nice as I've seen on this series and I tried to capture that in photos. Chef's knife (245x60mm) is well used. I'm the second owner and sharpened it once on the gesshin 2k myself but I believe the previous owner likely sharpened it as well. I polished up the handle on the chef's knife a bit but left the very stable patina on the blade. The utility knife was regularly used for things like garlic and shallots but I polished it up close to original (some patina still on blade). The paring knife has only been used a few times. I would like to sell this as a set for $500 shipped CONUS.

That Kramer set is calling my name.

These are the “original run” right? I wanna say 2020 and before?

Zwilling started to do an updated run and the heat treatment just isn’t the same.

If you're talking about the pre-2.0, which I believe came out in early 2021, then yes. I can't say exactly when they were produced but it's likely the 10" was around 2020 at the latest. These still have the thicker spine at the heel, forward balance, and curved choil in addition to the ebony (Blackwood?) handles.

Did you mean to put WTS - EU when you are DC and quote for CONUS? Im a little surprised any of this is still here, particularly the Martell in the US. If I didn't just buy a stainless WH I would have jumped on it.

Not sure how I did that. Thanks for pointing it out though!
