You know the deal, my home has become a vast repository of knives, and I have to start selling some before I trip over them. (and so I can buy some more) These are all good knives, but my collection has evolved, and I have upgraded across my entire rotation, so these just arent getting used
Masashi Stainless clad SLD 240 SOLD
I think this line has been discontinued, but no idea why. This is a good knife. I bought this because it sounded like a tall Yoshikane, the height of Toyama, but the thin grind and generous flat cutting spot of a Yoshi. It pretty much met my expectations. The spine thickness and heft makes it feel like a light middleweight. It was used lightly in a pro environment. As with most of my knives, I have swapped out the handle with a crest shaped maple burl/g10/copper one and fashioned a matching saya. Asking $275 which includes shipping in the ConUS
Length - 244
Height - 56
Weight - 232
Spine thickness at handle - 3.83
Gesshin Kagero - SRS15 - 240 SOLD
This was my favorite knife for a good long time. Another light middle weight. I always prefered this steel to SG2/R2 as it seems to sharpen more easily, but it has all the same edge holding capabilities. The profile is well suited to a number of cutting styles, and the blade is sturdy enough to stand up to a pro environment. This one also got a new crest shaped handle in stabilized cypress burl and dyed elm with stainless steel spacers and a matching saya. Asking $235. which includes ConUS shipping
Length - 242
Height - 47.8
Weight - 192
Spine at handle - 3.2
Munieshi 240 Slainless clad blue 2 SOLD
I bought this because I thought it might be a beater stand in for my Watanabe. It doesnt cut as well as the Wat, (but how many knives really do) but it is a lot cheaper. It does cut way about its price point, in my opinion. This is a Tosa knive and is as sturdy as you would expect of it's origins. It came fairly rough around the edges, lliterally, and I did a lot of work on this blade, rounding the spine and easing the choil. I also outfitted it with a very comfortable crest shaped handle made out of dyed cypress burl. Asking $175 which included shipping in the ConUS
Length - 241
Height - 50.7
Weight - 230
Spine at handle - 3.7
Thanks for looking and feel free to reach out with any questions.
