I have 3 knives I'd like to find a home for.

Mazaki Shirogami Hairline White #2 240mm Gyuto (CKTG version)
Kaneshige TB Blue #2 210mm Gyuto
Sukenari White #1 210mm Honyaki Gyuto - SOLD

If you have any questions about any of them, let me know. I'm not really interested in trades.

First up, the Mazaki. I bought this new from CKTG. I really like it, and I’ve used it a fair bit and sharpened once, but my curiosity about the new profile Mazakis is getting the better of me. I've cleaned up the patina with Flitz but there are a few spots of patina and light etch marks on the core steel from when I briefly had a forced patina that I can't quite get with the Flitz. I'm sure someone could finish it off with some stones pretty easily. The handle has been smoothed out a bit (it was a little rough stock) and sealed with a few light coats of Tru-oil.

Measurements are 246x53. The spine is around 4mm at the base but it thins out dramatically toward the tip. Balance is 60mm ahead of the handle or right around the kanji for a blade heavy feel. Weight is 219g.

$200 including PayPal fees, insured shipping (CONUS only).

Next up, the Kaneshige. I picked this up before they went out of stock at CKTG. It was branded as Konosuke for a while I guess but it was a Kaneshige when I got it. I’ve used it a few times (never sharpened) but as I’ve collected way too many knives I’ve found that I prefer 230-250 length so I’m trying to clear out some 210’s to free up some space. I kind of thought my wife might like this one too but she prefers the Shibata Bunka. It has some light patina on the edge I could clean up if needed and the handle has a few very light coats of tru-oil to seal it but you probably wouldn’t realize it if I didn’t mention it. It’s otherwise in new condition.

Measurements are 200x46. The spine is a little over 4mm at the base but it thins out nicely toward the tip. It’s a nice stout little blade. Balance is just right on a pinch grip. Weight is 149g.

$180 including PayPal, insured shipping (CONUS only).

Lastly, the Sukenari. I picked this up on the B/S/T from YG420 over the summer to try out a Honyaki but it's not quite for me. It is gorgeous though. The handle in particular is stunning. It’s a Carter Hopkins handle made with “gator skin”, buffalo horn and nickel silver. If I could yank this handle off and keep it without making a mess of things I would. Includes a friction saya.

I just can’t seem to warm up to this length of knife. I keep grabbing the 240’s so I think it’s time to move this along to someone who will use it. It is a tool after all. One other thing to note is that the grind is flatter on the left than the right so there’s a bit of a right hand bias though I'm left handed and it's not noticeable to me. There’s a very slight bit of patina but it could be removed pretty easily.

Measurements are 201x48. The spine is around 2.5mm out of the handle and tapers gradually to the tip. The balance point is just ahead of the handle so it's a little handle heavy if using a pinch grip. Weight is 196g.

$625 including PayPal, insured shipping (CONUS only). This is just covering my costs.

Thanks. It sure is a pretty blade and handle combo. I really wish I could’ve warmed up to it more. I don’t get tired of looking at it though...

I’d rather not, but I’d probably consider it depending on what it is
