Unfortunately I’m not sure about the weight pre and post, but if I had to guess I would say that it’s over 250 g right now and I probably took off maybe around 10 g so at the beginning I would guess it was between 260 to 270 g as I just checked and it looked like I’ve seen weights between 260g to 270 g

Do check out the height again as I just re-measured that with my calipers and it was 56.5 mm tall at the heel

For the record this knife is great looking everything is great but I think it still needs some work. Honestly the steel was just so damn hard I ended up giving up

This is absolutely the hardest steel that I’ve ever worked with and the most amount of it, working on my Nakagawa honyaki was much easier than is

This gave me a whole new appreciation for Mazaki which I think he is incredibly underrated and how he constructed this knife is actually pure genius I was able to really learn the ins and outs
