You know the story: maker is dead, cuts like crazy, etc... The most distal taper I’ve seen on a nakiri personally. Never sharpened, very light home use. I have a santoku and wa bocho from him I’m keeping, just not a nakiri guy.

Those Mikamis are amazing knives. Excellent heat treatment, easy to sharpen long holding edge. Get a new handle and make a nice kasumi with an uchigumori fingerstone and you'll have a great Nakiri with a lot of knife history.
