D shaped handle with blonde ferrule without that faux shinogi they sometimes do.

Very limited use, light patina, saya included.

I think that this is the best cutting knife that I own. I haven’t been using it because I reach for others for largely sentimental reasons.

Third one of these I have had. First one I sent to Panda to try and he kept it. Second one I let a sous chef use and he insisted I sell it to him. This one I have held onto in case I end up running a restaurant kitchen again but that just isn’t going to happen.

Koki lists it as a 240 but it is more like the 250 of the KS. For some reason I can’t find a ruler right now but here is a pic next to my other Mizuno 240.

And to derail my own thread: The shorter knife weighed in at 243g if anybody is interested, it’s a beast. And for kicks check it out here:

JCK sells these Mizuno KS’s exclusively, and from what I gather they are just custom order 250mm. A standard Mizuno 240mm is going to have the Sakai style measurements- so the blade edge tends to be 230mm

I LOVE these knives. Mizuno is really an underrated brand. I loved this knife so much that I got a honyaki Mizuno KS. He’s selling this at a very fair price. The asymmetric grind really is the work of a master.

Man I remember when these came out. What a revelation. Wish I’d grabbed the honyaki version at the time.
 
That link to carbon knife co is the regular Mizuno Honyaki. The knife just to the right of the dark handled white spacer knife is the first white steel Mizuno Honyaki made of this style, commissioned by the star of the videos I posted above.

I just measured the knife for sale at 255mm.
