I have 2 never used knives that I feel should have a good home instead of being my drawer queens.

1. Mastersmith Aaron Wilburn 8.75” mosaic damascus with a stunning combination of redwood burl and boxelder burl spacer. Knife is quite light and I’ve only just stared at it.

223mm length
59mm height at the heel
2.9mm at the spine. <1 mm just before the tip.

$1850 US
shipped ConUS (outside of US, let’s chat)

2. Mert Tansu 250mm integral gyuto in Hitachi Blue 2/15n20/1084 topography damascus. Handle is Arizona ironwood, G10 and brass. It’s a beautiful knife, just a little long for my preference.

250mm length
53mm height at the heel
4 mm at the spine. <1 mm just before the tip.

$1450 USD shipped ConUS (outside of US, let’s chat)

Is this tansu more laser or wh? I hear good things but unfamiliar

Thanks for asking- you actually helped me realize I somehow left off the spine thickness (updated with 4mm). Feels a little beefier at the spine but he puts a great distal taper on it. I have a KS-profile from Mert and he makes a stellar knife.
